WCW… Kimberly Anne Helms

Welcome to my Woman Crush Wednesday! Instead of posting pictures of half-naked, internet models… don’t act like y’all haven’t seen them… I want to shine the spotlight on some amazing woman, doing some wonderful things.

If you have ever come across this beautiful lady… count yourself blessed! Very rarely do you meet someone who has a gentle soul that is backed with undeniable strength. Meet Kimberly Anne Helms… or Kim as I knew her in high school.

I have watched her blossom into a wonder mother and business woman. Self-proclaimed “gypsy” soul, Kim has one motto: “Break through your Fears and Never Settle”! At the moment she is a supermom: juggling a new career in pet care, being a BeachBody coach, professional massage therapist, and off course solely raising a gorgeous little girl, Cheyenne, and German Shepherd mix, Mr.T.

” I have a job I love, friends and family I love even more. And I cannot wait to see the next storm pass so I can be in awe of the beauty left behind.”

I asked Kim about her road to success, and  instead I learned about her life: the failures that led to success and that special touch of pure luck that makes dreams come true.

In 2012 Kim was faced with her first failure: when her fiancé walked out of their family and forced her into single motherhood. “After my ex walked out on our daughter and myself, my mom told me I need to figure out my life, not only for me, but for Cheyenne. And well, massage seemed like the perfect avenue for me to take.” She worked hard to provide a life for the two of them, while helping others along the way. “Massage therapy has always been in the back of my mind, something that has always hovered over me.  The great thing about massage is how you affect people. Someone can come in and lay on your table with the worst pain, and by the time you’re done, they don’t remember what pain feels like. It’s amazing. It’s one of my greatest passions.”

The second set-back came in 2014 from a bad breakup with her ex-fiancé. “I was a wreck. I had reached my highest weight. I was miserable. I was sad. I was simply unhappy. A few months after the breakup, I realized I needed to gain control of my life again, and that is what I have done. I have lost over 80-pounds.” She turned her heartache into motivation! Not only did she lose 80 lbs. (which y’all… that takes serious strength and dedication!) but she created a career for herself. She is now a BeachBody coach, helping people reaching goals and living better lives!

4“Take your time. Be patient. Enjoy the ride.”

On top of being a Massage Therapist, a BeachBody Coach, Kim has recently been offered a position at Shelley’s CritterCare, where cares for and loves on fur-babies, another passion of hers!

Kim is truly a phoenix: raising above failure. She has used her hurt and turned it into love, love for her daughter, animals, and people. Don’t get me wrong, she is still human, loving doughnuts, salt and pepper grits, and sweatpants; but there is something beautiful about her. She is a gypsy woman, master of many trades, and lover of all! With her biggest cheerleader and inspiration, Cheyenne, by her side, I am sure that Kimberly Anne Helm will do even more amazing things that make her deserving to be my WCW!

2“Break through your own fears. If you want a career change? Change it. If you want to move? Move. If you’re unhappy in your relationship? Break up. If you want to drink a bottle of wine? Chug it, baby. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from the greatness you deserve. Peace and love, my babes.”

If you are as impressed with Kim as I am, and would like her help, or just to tell her how amazing she is, please do not hesitate to contact her!
