I made it through Week 1 on my 30 Day Total Body Workout Challenge!
I know 1 week doesn’t sound like much… but for me, this is the first time in 2 years that I have successfully stuck to a workout routine! I’m so proud of myself! So please excuse the mini celebration!
I’m not going to jinx myself, but I can see a little change in my body. I have a little more energy, I sleep better, and I find myself opting to have healthier meals.
Speaking of meals… in honor of getting my life back on track, I am going on a $30 a Week Food Challenge as well. I figured why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone: eat healthier and save money!
I own the most adorable little house that is in need of a new roof and gutters. With a little bit of saving, I will to be able to do all of that this year. Again if one of my wonderful readers want to contribute, I am very open to gifts! LOL. I am not a lover of over working yourself, so saving it is!
My plan is the spend $30 a week on enough food to last for 7 days, eating only the items I have at home. This will force me to pick the most nutritious food that I can get for my buck, and also to actually eat the food that I have bought. I have a bad habit of going grocery shopping and not eating the food I buy, then end up throwing it away. A shame I know!
You might think that $30 is too little, but you will be surprised how far you can stretch it! Here is a sample of what a $30 shopping list looks like when you shop at places like Aldi and Kroger.
At the end of the week, I will show you how it goes, I am very optimistic that I will reach my savings goal and weight loss goal. 2017 is my year for a come back, and I am determined to slay!
